Right now as I write this post, it’s dark and overcast outside, that what a love sick heart is like. You can’t cry enough tears out to make you feel better and you drown from the sorrow you feel. Blue hearts refers to the state of the heart, and broken skies refers to the state of mind. I haven’t been able to put together a mellody for this song so I hope someone will help give it an up-beat so it won’t be totally depressing.
Lover’s Weather – Joe Sanchez © November 2008
Intro – ?
Verse 1
Every night I dream
I’m drowning in a stream
Made from tears I’ve never shed
Tears stuck in my head
Chorus
Blue skies and broken hearts don’t go together
Blue skies and broken hearts don’t go together
Blue hearts and broken skies are lover’s weather
Blue hearts and broken skies – forever, forever, forever
Verse 2
Behind my eyes are clouds and thunder
Blowing winds fierce with wonder
Wondering when this storm will be over
When the rain will end
Chorus
Blue skies and broken hearts don’t go together
Blue skies and broken hearts don’t go together
Blue hearts and broken skies are lover’s weather
Blue hearts and broken skies forever, forever, forever
Bridge
There’s a wall of rain behind my eyes
That will never fall from the skies
It’s been there for so long
It keeps me broken, broken
’til I cry, til I cry, ‘til I cry
I’m not gonna cry…
Verse 3
It’s been raining in my head
Raining in my head since you left me
My eyes are swollen red my eyes are swollen red
From all the tears stored in my head
Ending
Blue skies and broken hearts don’t go together
Blue hearts and broken skies are lover’s weather
Blue hearts and broken skies are lover’s weather forever, forever, forever
