Joe

Welcome to “Songs by Joe”!

I’m happy you’re visiting. This website is where I express the songs I’ve written over the years. Though none of these songs have been performed professionally, yet – I hope they will capture the hearts and thoughts of those who read and play them.

You’re welcome to use my songs with your own music, just credit me on the lyric writing. Eventually, I hope to have recordings of the complete song and lyrics posted for your listening and feedback.

The ultimate goal of this site is to get musicians collaborating and piece together a final  tune that catches on somewhere in the world or with a known band (I can dream).

Your  comments and feedback are welcome … as well as links to your YouTube performances of my songs.

Here’s the titles of the first songs I’m posting (Title Album – Lips & Eyes):

1. Lips & Eyes - Song about seeing the Lips & Eyes of the one you loved in everyone you pass on the street.

2. Smoke and Mirrors – Like the title states, Love’s a game we play called Smoke and Mirrors?   (demo)

3. Things Change - One of my favorites that relates to how time changes things. Hence, you can’t go back.   (demo)

4. Love Rolls Down Hill – Wow, this is so true for some lovers. Love starts off with a bang then goes down hill from there.   (demo)

5. Should’ve – We should all learn from our mistakes. Should’ve done this and that while you still had her/him.   (demo)

6. Lover’s Weather – Confusing little song about how love relates to rough weather.

7. Here In Our Dreams – My favorite, which I wrote while my teenage daughter was going through her first love.   (demo)

8. Blowing You A Kiss Goodbye – How many times do we have to say “I’m sorry”? This song cuts to the chase. Forgive me or I’m moving on…   (demo)

9. Still Around – Some folks just can’t get over that “First Love” so they end up with someone who just doesn’t quite provide that same emotional rush. This song is about the poor fellow or lady who ends up with someone with a broken heart that never quite heals.   (demo)

I’ve added demos I recorded but I’m not making excuses, they are rough. Hopefully you can help improve them.

Enjoy!
